About Cruz Marine
Construction support in Alaskan waters requires a special company. Cruz Marine has the shallow draft expertise needed to operate statewide. Whether your job is in the Beaufort Sea supporting the oil fields of the North Slope or far up the Yukon River delivering to inaccessible villages, Cruz Marine can do it.
Cruz Marine, LLC. was founded in 2008 and is wholly owned by Dave and Dana Cruz. Dave Cruz is a hands-on owner with over 30 years of construction experience throughout Alaska. Cruz Marine General Manager Kevin Weiss has over 20 years experience in Alaskan waters and he directs some of the most skilled mariners in Alaska.
With Alaska’s challenging marine construction support environment in mind, Cruz Marine recently added two shallow draft (3’6” – 5”) vessels to their fleet: the M/V Dana Cruz and the M/V Millie Cruz. Both tugs were designed to precise Cruz Marine specifications by A.G. McIlwain Naval Architects LTD and were constructed by Fred Wahl Marine in Oregon.

The Cruz Marine fleet includes the Millie and the Dana Cruz, the only two shallow draft tugs of their class in Alaska with double hull fuel tanks for safety.
